Confederate Memorial Day Photos

CONFEDERATE MEMORIAL DAY is celebrated in Maryland each year on the first weekend in June nearest to the birthday of President Jefferson Davis. The Colonel Harry W. Gilmor Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, of which I am a member, had the honor of assisting the Maryland Division of the United Daughters of the Confederacy in planning and presenting the CONFEDERATE MEMORIAL DAY ceremony at Loudon Park Cemetery, Baltimore City, Maryland, on Saturday, June 2, 2007.

From the period of 2 June through 18 June, I will post a different photo each day of the event. Certainly, in our ‘politically correct’ society, this is a proper posting on my ‘politically incorrect’ blog. The true history of the American Civil War should be taught across this land. However, in our country we teach how great Mr. (he was not MY president) Lincoln was, and how our boys from the south were only fighting to retain slavery. The real truth and history of the Civil War is learned through organizations such as the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.

Here is our photo for today.
