At 2:15 AM, on Friday, October 20, 2006, my father, Reverdy Lewin Orrell, Jr. passed quietly on to a better place.
He left us while holding a photo of his wife and his 2006 Bonnie Blink Masonic Penny in his hands.
He was a gentleman who lived and died with grace and dignity.

He is also survived by a brother, Richard Francis Orrell and a sister, Mary Florence (Orrell) Jahnigan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A great grandson, Jackson Reverdy Orrell is due in early January.

As a tribute to my father, this blog will remain silent until Wednesday, 25 October 2006. One of the things he talked about over the last two weeks was how he would read my blog (and other writings) every day. He just couldn’t comprihend the dozens of emails I received every day from people around the world inquiring about his condition. Dad loved talk radio with Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Les Konsolving, Michael Reagan, Mark Levin, and Michael Savage being his favorites. He enjoyed the cartoons and was especially fond of my comments about liberals. To show my love, support, and respect for him, I’ll give the liberals a break for a few days.
